Care for nervous patients
No judgement. No pressure.
Let’s start with what matters to you.
Whether you’re worried about treatment, frightened of injections or returning after a long time away, you can tell us. We’ll listen to your concerns and talk through your options before agreeing the next step together.

You won’t be judged.
You don’t need to apologise for your teeth or explain why it has been a while. Our starting point is understanding how you feel and what you would like help with.
Your care, agreed together.
We’ll discuss your expectations and requests, explain our findings, and talk through the benefits, risks, alternatives and costs of treatment. You can ask questions and take time to decide. Treatment only goes ahead with your informed consent.
Building confidence
A manageable first step.
You don’t have to commit to a course of treatment when you get in touch. Tell us what worries you so we can discuss how to approach your first appointment.
Where clinically appropriate, we can start with less invasive treatment and build from there. We may also suggest more regular reviews to help visits become familiar and keep an eye on your dental health. We’ll agree the approach with you and explain anything that needs more timely attention.
If injections worry you
Ask us about the Wand.
If your main concern is the injection rather than the treatment itself, let us know. We can offer the Wand local anaesthetic delivery system and explain what it involves and whether it is suitable for your planned treatment.
You can discuss this before deciding how you would like to proceed.
When you need more support
We can discuss sedation referrals.
If anxiety makes dental treatment feel unmanageable, we have relationships with dentists who provide sedation. We can talk through a referral and help you understand the next steps.
Sedation is provided by the dentist you are referred to, following their assessment. We’ll explain the referral arrangements and what to expect.
Start with a conversation.
Tell us you’re nervous when you get in touch. We’ll listen and discuss what might help.
